Every spring and fall, the town flushes the water mains to remove sediment build up. Schedules of this flushing are printed in the Times Union, The Advertiser and The Independent newspapers. Please watch for these notices so you can be prepared at your home or business for the temporary service interruptions that may occur. Currently, the Water Department is in the process of upgrading all meters to radio signal devices. If we have not already been to your neighborhood to do this upgrade, we will shortly. This equipment has made a significant difference in the efficiency of our billing operations thus far and we are excited about completing the installations.
