Keith A. Langley, Supervisor Town of East Greenbush Recently, a construction company under contract with the Town started work in Sherwood Park on the slip lining project. As mentioned last month, this is a rehabilitation project to reduce the inflow into the sanitary system which will decrease the burden within our wastewater treatment facility. We look forward to watching the progress of this project over the summer. Over the last month we have had two new members join our team in Town Hall. Sean Mulvey has assumed the responsibilities of the Director of Finance. He is focusing on the 2013 Town Budget. We also welcome Meaghan Hart, a recent graduate of Marist College with her Master’s in Public Administration, with a focus on Public Management. Meaghan has assumed the responsibilities of Bookkeeper. A part of her responsibilities will be to focus on payroll and human resources. During transition periods it is important to stay focused on the business of the town and its residents, doing this we will continue to provide superior service to all we serve. This week we celebrate the Fourth of July, Independence Day. Remember the meaning of this day for our country as you celebrate with friends and family. Also remember those who work hard every day and serve our country to protect our independence. Please enjoy your celebrations, but remember to be responsible and stay safe. |
