The Town of East Greenbush Department for Community and Recreational Services will be holding the annual Chili Contest as a part of “Winterfest 2012,” a school-community celebration of winter. Contestants will be asked to contribute “homemade” chili in disposable containers labeled with contestant’s name and hot, medium, or mild. A portion of the chili will be used for the competition, while any remaining will be sold at the Winterfest BBQ. All entrants will need to drop their chili off at Goff Middle School on Gilligan Rd between 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14^th. Chili must be warm and ready to eat! Prizes will be awarded to the top scores in each category: Best Tasting, Most Original, Hottest, and for Most Votes Overall. Judging will be conducted openly by Winterfest attendees by casting votes after taste testing each chili.
