This park is located off of Elliot Road. A beautiful scenic 120 acre gem set back at the end of Town Park Road with a pond that opens to the Moordener Kill with breathtaking views and a waterfall along the hiking trails.

Amenities include two picnic pavilions, playground, softball field, basketball court, volleyball court, open lawn spaces, barbeque grills, horseshoes, 1.5 mile hiking and cross-country ski trails, fishing, non-motorized boating, ice-skating, and a sledding hills. This park also has a fenced off dog park.

The upper pavilion has a full kitchen, restrooms, a covered and an open deck with picnic tables. It is located on top of the hill. Just below the pavilion there is access to a playground, basketball court, softball field, horseshoes, and volleyball.

The lower pavilion is a covered area with picnic tables and charcoal grills. You must provide your own charcoal. Just below the pavilion there are restrooms, fishing in the pond, and a volleyball court.

Both pavilions share access to softball field, basketball court, volleyball court, and playground.

There are 3 hiking trails throughout the park. They are marked yellow, orange, or white.

Happenings At The Town Park

The Town will begin construction of a brand new building at the park.The building will be enclosed, have updated ADA compliant bathrooms, a kitchen area, a garage for the parks maintenance staff, a multipurpose room, and two covered patio sides facing the beautiful Moordener pond.The building will be heated and air conditioned and be available for use year round.It will be used for additional rental space for parties (2019), Town Programs and Events, and our Summer Camp Program.

In 2017 the Town Board secured a grant for a trail to connect the Miracle League Field to the Town Park.The Parks Maintenance Staff have been working on creating a pedestrian walkway from this trail and around the park to ensure the safety of our visitors.They also have begun clearing the area beyond the lower parking lot to relocate and improve the dog park.

Construction will begin March 26th on the new building and will continue for the next couple of months to follow.Please be cautious and mindful when visiting the park.Upper pavilion rentals will not be affected at all.Lower pavilion rentals have been suspended for now and will reopen when the construction site is cleared.
