Notice of Public Hearing
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the COMPREHSNIVE PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE of the Town of East Greenbush will hold a public hearing on October 7, 2020 beginning at 6:00 PM to consider the following matter(s):
The Town of East Greenbush Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee (CPSC) will present the draft Comprehensive Plan Update and hold a public hearing as part of the Town’s ongoing efforts to assure full opportunity for citizen participation in the preparation of the Plan Update and fulfill obligations under New York State Town Law Section 272-A. In-person and remote participation options will be available.
The draft Plan Update document is available from the Town’s website, at https://www.eastgreenbush.org/departments/planning-zoning/2018-comprehensive-plan-update, and may also be viewed at the Town Clerk’s Office, 225 Columbia Turnpike Rensselaer, NY 12144, or at the East Greenbush Community Library, 10 Community Way, East Greenbush, NY 12061.
The Public Hearing will commence at 6:00 PM at The Red Barn, Town Park Rd, East Greenbush, NY 12061. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for those attending in person at The Red Barn, including screening and building occupancy limits.
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 202.1, issued by Governor Cuomo on March 12, 2020, and advisories issued by Federal, State and Local officials related to the COVID-19 virus, the CPSC will also provide remote attendance and participation options.
Remote attendance and participation options shall be available through the use of Zoom, a web-based video conferencing tool with local, desktop client and smartphone applications that will allow Board members and the public to participate electronically and remotely by audio and with or without a video connection. Finally, the meeting will also be live streamed on the Town’s YouTube Channel.

Written comment may be submitted to the CPSC by email to CompPlanUpdate@eastgreenbush.org or to the Planning and Zoning Department, Town of East Greenbush, 225 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, New York 12144 at any time prior to the hearing.
