Sidewalk Construction
Project update:
During the month of August the "slip ramp" - the separate turning lane from Columbia Turnpike to Route 4 Northbound by True Value will be closed during construction. Passenger vehicles will still be able to make this right turn by turning a "square corner" at the intersetction. Turcks will be detoured to continue westbound on US 9/20 and over the Dunn Memorial Bridge to northbound I-787, which they can take eastbound I-90 to Route 4 at Exit 9.

Construction is scheduled to begin work between Route 4 at Genet Elementary School and Routes 9/20 at Hays Road during the week of Monday, July 20.
The work will include sidewalk, curb ramp and signage improvements throughout the project area, as well as traffic signal improvements at the Columbia Turnpike/Elliot Road intersections.
During construction, both roads will remain open, with lane closures adjacent to work areas.
The completion date for the project is June 30, 2021.
