Winter Weather Advisory

The Commissioner of Public Works is closely monitoring the weather forecast with the anticipation of snow and a wintery mix expected to fall within the next 24 hours.  Currently, we are expecting 1-3" of snow to fall before the snow changes to wintery mix to rain.  Typically, a Snow Emergency is declared when the forecast calls for four (4) or more inches of snow, so unless the forecasts increases, we do not anticipate a snow emergency at this time.  But, residents can still help us out with moving off the roads as much as possible to allow for snow and ice to be cleared and treated in an effective and efficient manner.

With the Town finally experiencing winter, we want to share some information on the Department of Public Works Winter Operations - which includes info on Snow Emergencies, parking restrictions, and who to call.  We hope this provides helpful information to all residents.
