The East Greenbush Police Department Detective Office handles a wide variety of cases, primarily felonies, within the police department. Members of the Detectives Office carry a case load, work on assigned tasks and assist the patrol unit when needed.
The Detective Office is staffed by two Detectives, Detectives are also involved with all criminal and drug investigations, accident investigation, issuing warrants, compiling photo arrays, performing employee background checks, bad checks and the investigation of professional standards.
Criminals tend to cross town boundaries making it necessary for the Detective Office to work closely with area agencies to have a successful conclusion to cases assigned to the unit.
